jf4c documentation

here you will find a small documentation to the dbSettings application/the image itself
due the settings app is made by das.sh0 you can use the docs for the app with adp-nuke too

Overclocking and sleepmode

This is just informal. You can activate Overclocking and CPU Sleep here. It's not really overclocking but many people use this phrase so I do so too. The stock and non modified images run on 384 Mhz to save battery life, after some radio updates this is not really necessary so we can clock the CPU to 528 Mhz, this is what the CPU was build for, so we can use this without risk. CPU Sleep is when the display turns off, the clock is set to 128Mhz to save more battery life and this is a great step I think, my G1 lasts for 5 days know with non heavy use.

Apps2SD

Let's start, after you started the settings tool, activate "Apps 2 SD" like you can see here:

dbsettings.png

next step is entering the "Apps 2 SD Settings":

apps2sdsettings.png apps2sddirs.png

I suggest that you activate the ext2fsck to check the sdcard on boot. Activate "Auto Install" and choose directories you want to move to the sdcard. I chose some more directories, not only the two defaults, it's up to you, what you want to move. After clicking ok and rebooting everything will be on the sdcard. If you used another image with apps2sd or all2sd it is safe to do the same steps and after this you will have everything loaded from the sdcard like it did before you (wiped and) installed my image.

OpenVPN

Coming soon... atm just a hint /system/bin/vpinit (start|stop|clear) is a script you can use with gscript and the openvpn.tar.gz should hold your config and keys.

Small tricks

With the new termapp press menu and goto preferences -> Command line and enter "/system/xbin/busybox sh -" press ok and restart the termemulator. Now you will have tabcomplete in your emu.
